 The 2025 NCAA Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship in Gulf Shores aired live on ESPN and marked a historic win for TCU. The event brought national attention to Gulf Shores, showcasing top-tier athleticism, local energy, and the city’s growing reputation as a premier beach volleyball destination. 

 A ripple effect of giving began with a Rotary Club of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach member, inspiring others to join in. That spark led the Hangout Hospitality Group to make a remarkable donation—offering an entire building of beachfront condos to Operation ReConnect, giving veterans and their families a free week-long stay to reconnect and heal. 

Janel Hawkins of Sand Castle University created a heartfelt tribute to the Gulf Shores High School football team after their championship win by sculpting a life-sized rendition of the team’s football helmet in the sand.
